02/07/2008New Lenovo-Designed Beijing 2008 Olympic Torch Relay Components Unveiled
BEIJING – February 7, 2008 – In addition to designing the Beijing 2008 Olympic Torch that will travel the world on its way to herald the arrival of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, Lenovo has designed new torch relay components including the Lantern and Local City Cauldrons. The lantern houses the Olympic flame once it is lit in Olympia, Greece and safely carries the "mother flame" from city to city for the duration of the relay while the Olympic cauldron will be lit by the day's last torchbearer at each end-of-day city celebration.

11/01/2007LENOVO REPORTS SECOND QUARTER 2007/08 RESULTS
HONG KONG, Nov. 1, 2007– Lenovo Group today reported results for its second fiscal quarter of 2007/08 ended Sept. 30, 2007. Consolidated revenue for the quarter jumped 20%, year over year, to US$4.4 billion, driven by growth in all of Lenovo’s operating geographies. For the third consecutive quarter, Lenovo PC shipments exceeded the average growth rate of the global PC market, with year-over-year growth of 23% far outpacing the industry’s average growth rate of 15.7%. The company’s gross profit margin for the second quarter of 2007/08 was 15.1%, compared to 13.0% in the same period a year ago, and up 0.2 percentage points sequentially. Net cash reserves as of Sept. 30, 2007, totaled US$1.7 billion. Lenovo’s Board of Directors has declared an interim dividend of 3.0 HK cents or 0.39 US cents per share.

BEIJING, – October 11, 2007 – Lenovo, a worldwide leader in the PC market, announced today the 18 finalists selected to compete for the chance to participate in the Beijing 2008 Olympic Torch Relay. Lenovo launched the torchbearer search program with the help of Google to find "new thinkers" from around the world to run the torch in China. This is the longest ever Torch Relay in Olympic history with more cities visited than any past Games.
